Account and billing guide

How to cancel a CooMeet subscription and delete your account

First identify who bills the subscription. Cancellation stops a future renewal; account deletion and card removal are separate actions.

Closing an account is not a substitute for cancelling billing.

01

Start here: identify who bills the subscription

Search your email for the purchase receipt and check the merchant shown on the bank or card statement. A CooMeet website purchase, an Apple App Store subscription and a Google Play subscription use different management routes. Sign in with the same account used for the purchase; a subscription can appear missing when a different Apple ID or Google account is open.

Do not delete the account, uninstall an app or remove a saved card before confirming the billing route. Those actions may change access without proving that automatic renewal is off. Save the receipt, subscription name and next billing date before making changes.

02

Cancel automatic renewal on the CooMeet website

CooMeet’s current official instructions say to sign in to the personal account, select the profile photo in the upper-right corner, choose the gear icon, open Personal details, select the three-dot menu on the right and cancel automatic renewal. Read the confirmation screen before leaving and retain any email or screenshot that shows renewal is disabled.

If the option is absent or the status remains unclear, contact CooMeet through the support route on its official domain. Its published support email is [email protected]. Include the account email, approximate charge date and receipt or transaction reference, but never send a password, one-time code or full card number.

03

Cancel an Apple-billed subscription

On an iPhone or iPad, Apple’s official path is Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Select the CooMeet subscription and choose Cancel Subscription. If there is no cancel button or a red expiry message is already shown, Apple says the subscription is already cancelled.

If CooMeet does not appear, check the receipt to confirm which Apple Account made the purchase. An Apple receipt identifies Apple as the biller; if there is no Apple receipt, use the statement or original purchase confirmation to find the billing company rather than repeatedly creating new accounts.

04

Cancel a Google Play subscription

Open Google Play while signed into the Google account used for payment, go to subscriptions, select the CooMeet subscription, choose Manage and then Cancel subscription. Follow the reason and confirmation prompts until Google Play displays the cancelled status.

Google explicitly notes that uninstalling an app does not cancel its subscription. Access normally continues through the already-paid billing period after cancellation; a refund is a separate request governed by the applicable Google Play policy and purchase circumstances.

05

Confirm that renewal is actually off

Return to the subscription-management screen and look for an expiry or paid-through date instead of a future renewal date. Save the confirmation email or a dated screenshot, then check the next expected statement. A successful confirmation should identify the subscription and account—not only say that an app was removed.

If another charge appears after the confirmed cancellation date, contact the biller named on the receipt. Provide the cancellation confirmation and transaction reference. Use the bank or card issuer’s official dispute route for an unauthorised charge, and avoid payment-help links sent by unknown people.

06

Cancellation and refunds are separate requests

Cancelling normally prevents a future renewal; it does not automatically reverse a completed charge. Eligibility for a refund depends on who processed the payment, the applicable terms, timing and local consumer rules. Start with the biller identified on the receipt so the request reaches the party that can inspect the transaction.

Describe the charged product, date, amount, currency and reason concisely. Do not buy another package to test whether cancellation worked. Keep copies of the request and response, especially when the paid period or access end date is disputed.

07

Delete your CooMeet account separately

CooMeet’s current official instructions say to select the profile photo, choose the gear icon, open Personal details, select the three-dot menu and choose Close my account. The service then sends a three-digit code to the registration email; entering and confirming that code closes the account.

CooMeet also states that signing in again within six months automatically restores the account. If permanent closure is important, do not log back in during that period and retain the closure confirmation. Cancel any subscription first and confirm billing status separately; account closure alone is not reliable proof that renewal has stopped.

08

Removing a saved card is not the same as cancelling

CooMeet’s official page describes removing a linked card from the payment page by selecting the X icon beside the card. That manages a stored payment method. It should not be treated as a substitute for cancelling automatic renewal or as proof that an already-authorised charge will be reversed.

Use the sequence that matches the goal: cancel renewal, confirm the status, resolve any refund request, then remove a saved payment method or close the account if desired. Keeping those actions separate makes it easier to document what the service confirmed.

09

If you cannot access the account or find the subscription

Use the account-recovery route for the exact email or store account that made the purchase. Then contact either official CooMeet support or the store named on the receipt. State that you cannot access the subscription-management screen and ask for written confirmation of renewal status and the paid-through date.

Do not send a password, authentication code, identity document or full card number by email. A support team may need a limited transaction reference, date and amount; verify the address or help page independently before sharing even that information.

010

After cancellation, compare alternatives only if you still need the service

Solve the billing issue before opening another checkout. If the original format no longer fits, compare account requirements, browser or app access, pricing units, renewal terms and safety controls—not only the headline offer.

The CooMeet alternatives guide provides a restrained comparison framework. CooMeetLive is independent, requires an account for regular one-to-one calling and should be evaluated on its own current product facts and checkout.

Decision desk

Turn the research into a yes, no or “not yet.”

Use the stronger signal and the caution together. A service should not receive credit for a claim that cannot be checked in the actual access path.
